11 weeks with Baby O

We are already 11 weeks in!

Honestly it makes me a little sad. I know when I am 39 weeks I'll be totally over pregnancy but I really want to enjoy this. I am very aware that this will be my last one even though I don't feel done yet. I am still feeling sick off and on but I really want to soak up every week. Crazy to think I just found out and I am already a quarter of the way there.

Here's baby O's stats this week:

Baby's now the size of a lime!
Your fetus currently enjoys a 1:1 ratio between body and head, and has skin so transparent that blood vessels show right through it. But fingers and toes are no longer webbed, and hair follicles, tooth buds, and nail beds are forming -- setting up a significantly more attractive future.

Karly's Ballet Recital

Dancing Queen!

Karly's end of the year ballet recital was last weekend! She looked absolutely adorable and did great! She is really, REALLY hoping to make pointe next year. She has always been a good little dancer but it seems like this last year she started taking it much more seriously. It was great to see her look more like a confident dancer and less like a little girl. Bittersweet :(
It is great to see her passionate about something and going for it.

She was one of the last groups to perform.  By the time she went up my nerves were fairly frazzled with Sawyer after attempting to entertain him on my lap for the previous hour and a half.

Chris recorded. Forgive him. Take a dramamine. Hang on tight.

She starts on the left...if you lose her she is the shortest one up there.

Way to go Kar!!!

Things I Like Thursday 04/29

Let's jump right in! As usual I have a random collection of things I like...none of which I have, all of which I want!

First up...

I wanted one of these when I was pregnant with Sawyer. Of course I said..."I can make that myself".   (side note: have you ever been to a craft fair and seen those signs that say "sure you can make it yourself, but you know you won't so just buy it" ?? I need one of those signs on a necklace)  Needless to say I never made it and now Sawyer is 10 months old. Maybe the next baby will get one?? I love this one best!

Want one for yourself?  Head over to MollyAnnMake

Second up....

Have you heard of or seen Lime Ricki Swimwear? They sell themselves as trendy yet modest swimwear. Have you seen some of the bathing suits for young girls these days? Jeez skankalicious! Well, my Karly is FAR too young or maybe just too small to fit into any of these but I do love them! I am half tempted to order one for me! These are my faves...for now anyways! I think they are adorable and lets get real, no one wants to see this nasty stretch marked belly! I just wonder how good they are for us busty gals? They say big busted but show it on a model with a B cup. Is a B cup busty now? maybe for a model? Anyways...I'll be needing a suit this year, one that can accommodate "the girls" and an expanding belly while still looking cute and flattering. Too much to ask? If you have any recommendations SHARE WITH ME!

Next up....

Sara at Savvy Stitcher makes these adorable headbands along with other stuff....such as super cute bibs, coffee sleeves and hats! Sara is a definite do gooder and donates an item for many of her items sold! Hello??? Love that! If you have a baby, baby shower or are looking for a cute reasonable gift for yourself check her out! For more info on what she donates and to where or for some morning coffee reading, check out her blog. Ready to shop? Head over to her Etsy.

Wanna Make it Wednesday! 04/28

This week one of my wanna make it's is a giveaway! Soooo check it out, but don't enter because then you are totally lowering my chance of winning :) If I don't win I'll still likely have to buy this pattern! They are too cute and even though it's a little higher than I like to pay for a pattern...$9 buckaroos, it does include infant to adult sizes soooo I may have to make an exception! She also has some gorgeous quilts on her site!  The giveaway is being hosted by Sugar Bee, these pictures are from slippers she made using the pattern!  Are they not the cutest?  Hmmm....Christmas gifts???  You can buy the pattern and see more at The Quilted Fish or you can go straight to the Pigs in a Blanket Pattern.

Next up....

How great are these? I won't need them for awhile, but if you know me you know I take FOREVER to actually get around to a project and finish it! I have to post these now because A) some of you might be interested and B) I don't want to forget these!  Head over to Sew Much Ado for more pics and the tutorial.

and check out this felt food. This stuff seems to be popping up everywhere usually along with a price tag that reflects the time that goes into them as opposed to the supplies. Felt is dirt cheap BUT these do appear to have quite a bit of time in them. Great project for on the couch watching TV. Homemade by Jill compiled a list of links to FREE patterns for lots of food choices. Do little boys play with fake food and kitchens or is it just little girls?

and on Fiskars Crafts website they have this cute little playmat. Ahhh adorable right? I think Sawyer would totally dig it!
Hope you enjoyed and are inspired!  Did you make a Wanna Make It List?  I highly recommend it :)  If you do leave your link in the comments!  If anyone leaves a link be sure to go check it out, its a great way to find new ideas and make some bloggy friends!

Not Me 04/26

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

Welcome to another confession! If you are visiting for the first time WELCOME!
Look around, introduce yourself...heck stay awhile :)

Confession time...

I most certainly did NOT catch my child eating the dogs bone! If I did I certainly wouldn't grab the camera for a little video action. I of course wouldn't give the bone back to the dog knowing the boy would be willing to do battle for it again. Nope, NOT me!
That would be gross!

I did not garden my little fingers to the bone off and on for the last 2 weeks! I definitely wouldn't have ripped out a few bushes and lots of weeds to turn a flower bed into more garden space. I also don't have little sprouts popping up from my garden! Woo Hoo!

I have not been a snappy hormonal biatch. Never would I let my nerves, hormones, and emotions get the best of me!
Thank goodness my family still loves me...or at least they pretend too ;)

Now, what haven't you been up to??

New Layout?

I have been wanting to switch to a 3 column layout for a few months.  One problem, I am not very computer techy savvy!  Well, I ended up with this!  What do you think?  I am not sold but think it will do for now!  I have a few more things I would like to get on here in the next few weeks.  If you ever log on and things look a little wonky, forgive me?  Pretty please?  I am not the best so sometimes kinks take me forever a few minutes to get worked out!

Thank you to everyone that reads and comments!  I appreciate them all!  I wish blogger made it easier to reply to messages so it doesn't seem like I am ignoring everyone!

Karly's first fish!

Have I mentioned I love living in a neighborhood? Not just any neighborhood but the one we picked? As I mentioned before Karly has made great friends with a little girl here, they are pretty much inseparable. It also helps that I knew her dad through work before even knowing it was her dad! Small world! Her mom is great as well! They are great neighbors!

Onto the point of this post :)

Karly's friend Sam and her parents took Karly fishing last weekend. Karly has been fishing before and I guess you could say "caught" a fish (read: held the pole after the fish was already on it and out of water). Sooo this is Karly's first real fish that she caught and reeled in. Pretty impressive right?

That's my girl!

Baby "O"

As you all know I am pregnant...again. Yes, I was pregnant this time last year! Yes, we actually tried both times! Yes, we were surprised this one happened so fast. Yes, my 2 little ones will be about 17 months apart! Yes, there is a good chance I may rip my hair out some days. Yes, we are thrilled!

Yesterday was our first appointment. This is always a relieving appointment. You find out your due date or the rough guess for it. You also get to really KNOW something is in there! I thought I was about 8 weeks but we are really 10 weeks today! I did feel a little better knowing that! I was feeling a little silly and guilty for being so tired and sick so early on but it turns out I was in my usual prime misery state from 6-9 weeks. It's all uphill from here.

It was so exciting to see the little heartbeat and baby floating around. My first U/S with Sawyer I was a few weeks earlier and he resembled a kidney bean with a heartbeat. Sooo seeing little tiny arms and legs was really neat. Here is a picture from yesterday along with a few labels I added to make it easier :)

(clicking the pic will make it bigger)

Things I like Thursday 04/22

Hmmm...I never know just what to highlight. I mean, I like A LOT of things!

Here are this weeks picks! There is zero rhyme or reason to this list. Hope you are not a "have to have a theme" type of person!

First up...Chris and I just planted a garden. Well, Chris actually planted the first one and I just got the second one going last night. If I can say so mine is much cuter...just don't tell Chris! One problem I did run into; I started seeds in little leftover plant holder things. Well.....I started with Serrano peppers, then I remembered Chris had some peas that never made it out of the package so I threw some of them in the empty spots and waited for sprouts. Oops! I forgot to label what was what! Needless to say I think I transplanted the peas into the ground this evening. I am pretty sure its what they are anyways! I have the peppers I am waiting on, cucumbers, carrots, green beans and cilantro. I think I am going to do an herb garden in the other flower bed that has no flowers! How cute would these markers be??? Plus, I would know what is what :)

I found these at Magpiedesignz; lovin them.  Seriously check out this shop...gorgeous stuff in there!  I found a few things I may HAVE to have!

I found these adorable veggie ones at Daisychestnut

Totally switching gears from gardening to baby

I wanted this tub last time and didn't get it. Since I won't really be needing/getting much this time around I think I deserve this tub! It may have to be a gift to myself! I hate those huge tubs that take up the entire bathtub and the water pools in weird spots. The Puj tub is brilliant. You know, one of those things you see and think "I totally should have thought of that myself" yep, this is one of those!

Pretty brilliant right?

and last but not least

Tough Titties Nipple Rub...ha ha! I am totally judging this book by its cover! LOVE the name! You can find this at Least Likely To Breed.  She has a handful of other super clever borderline inappropriately named options....Bad Ass Booty Balm, Roid Rage and Hand Job are a few others. There are also totally G rated options in store as well! They also have a website with a lot more info and even some all natural recipes! With such great prices I would never bother doing it myself but hey you might want to so Ill link you to the recipes too! I will for sure be purchasing some of this come feeding time!

Hope you enjoyed Things I Like Thursday!  See ya next week!

Men's pant legs to baby shorts

What do you do with random half leg scraps? Well if you aren't me you probably throw them away. If you are me you definitely may be tempted to steal them and throw them in a pile with great intentions of creating something amazing only to forget the damn pile and start on something new.

Not today my friends...not today!

Chris cut off the legs of some pants (from his military days that he never wore) making them into more practical (will actually get worn) shorts. I of course snatched those sad little half legs and decided they would become a matching set of shorts for Sawyer...and I made them! Woo Hoo! I started and finished a project! That alone for me is an amazing feat but to do it in a morning! Holy Moses this girl is a changed woman! Ok, not quite ;) Either way, they are no where near perfect but they do the trick and were FREE! Love me some FREE!

Now I just need to mend his work uniforms he asked me to do a month ago...
or maybe later ;)

Wanna Make it Wednesday 04/21

Woo Hoo Wanna Make it Wednesday!

A few more must makes to add to my list! I am constantly seeing these t-shirt revamps all over bloggy world. I saw a few super cute boy ones but didn't think to save the page. I am not sure where people are finding these $2 and $3 shirts? I always have my eyes peeled and still never see them! Makes me crazy! Back to the subject, I thought these were really sweet, going to run them by Miss K before I bother making them because lets get real, her "style" changes daily. Just yesterday she pulled all of her clothes from her closet and said she hated them and that I force her to dress like an orphan?? Can't wait for the teenage years!

How cute are these dressed up cheapo shirts? I think they are just too sweet! For more pics and info head over to Crap I've Made.

Next up...not so exciting for the non lactating peeps, super exciting for me! I hated the disposable nursing pads....HATED!! I actually have a super embarrassing story about those huge saucers being totally visible through my shirt!! Thank goodness my coworker pointed it out quickly so I could avoid further humiliation! What was I thinking wearing white? Aside from that trauma, they just aren't very comfortable. They also absorb like a Luvs diaper (which is good if its the diaper) but I never felt them wet so it didn't dawn on me to change them throughout the day which led to bad things. Nursing mommas, change them pads girls! I am hoping to make a slew of these bad boys...or enlisting my momma too ;) If you want a pair head over to Crafterella for the tute. She also has about a zillion other great ones!

and I must admit I saved the best for last! Look at this cake!

How freaking adorable right? I am desperate to make one for Sawyer's birthday! I will definitely need to do a test run first! I'll keep you posted on this! Oh so cute! If you want the dirt on how she made this...without the $30 dollar Wilton pan and nasty tasting fondant head over to At Second Street.

If you have a Wanna Make It post please post your link in the comments so I can check out yours!
