Saying Hello!

Hope everyone is doing well! I went to the doctor's office for my financial appointment today...this having a baby the legitimate way sure is pricey! They set you up on a payment plan so that everything is paid, except for the hospital by the time you are 7 months…I guess you just stay pregnant forever if you don’t pay! I really liked my nurse which is always a plus. My first real appointment is next Thursday and I am pretty excited…heartbeat and ultrasound, always something to look forward too!

Karly’s birthday is quickly approaching! We are celebrating with a possible sleepover (I am still not sold on this part of the plan) and then a party at the roller skating rink! She is such a funny kid! She has never even skated and wants a skating party?!?! Should be fun! We also have a great surprise in store for her…can’t tell yet, really don’t want it ruined! I am really looking forward to it! She is busy with dance and girl scouts as always. Last GS meeting they made blankets for the Project Linus Organization; www.projectlinus.org is the link if you are a part of a group looking for a good community project. Karly’s first dance production here is next month, she is a little nervous but excited as always. She says she is up front close to ‘her’ audience! She is also participating in a district writing competition. They only chose 4 students in 4th grade, so 3 days a week she stays late at school. I need my momma to move here and help chauffeur!

No other big news to report!!! Chris and I trying to keep up with Karly!

Rose Parade

Miss Karly was in her first Texas parade. Her dance school walked in the Texas Rose Parade a couple weekends back. She was awfully cute! Of course the one picture I got I cut her head off and then my batteries died. I did go on the local papers website and found a few pictures…if you are interested the links are below. Hopefully next time I will do better!

Tried to hyperlink the links below and it's just not working. You will have to copy and paste it into your browser.

Pumpkin Patch

Karly's Girl Scouts trip had an outing to the pumpkin patch...not that we actually did anything with the group. It was not very well organized, so we pretty much did it with our friends instead. Chris had to work...as usual and missed the fun. They had some very cool different kinds of pumpkins, hay rides, play areas, feed the catfish ponds of of course some face painting! All in all...a fun fall day!

My first appointment is November 6 and we should have a better estimated due date at that point. For now it looks like a June baby!

We are all very excited!! I'll keep you posted on all the info and belly pics as they come!

E. TX Fair!

Welcome to the fair…one of Karly’s favorite places! We had a night filled with fun, food and of course the ferris wheel! Not much to say...just wanted to share a few pictures

Kar on the ferris wheel...checking out the fair from above!

Riding the teacups with some random kid

Good 'ol Daddy hugs!

I forced Karly to ride this one thinking she would love it...she was a nervous wreck and cried after it was over...mean mom! I look scared too!

Wildcat of the Week

Karly was the Wildcat of the Week for 4th grade! Her teachers all adore her, how can they not?!?! She is doing so great in school; all A's and one B which she pointed out is an 88% and she knows it's not acceptable :) I guess I don't even have to push her...88 seems pretty good to me! She always does well academically, but this year she is so much more confident and outgoing! It is great to watch her finally come out of her shell.

Dancing Queen!

That’s our little Dancing Queen! Our new cousin Emily invited Karly to participate in a Saturday workshop with the Golden Girls (they are a pretty big deal around these parts) and then perform at the local high school football game. Karly had a great time and is now obsessed with being just like Emily when she grows up…here’s to being a Golden Girl…keep on dancing!

Kayaking

Karly and I love the outdoors. We are always trying to find new things to try out and September’s new adventure brought us kayaking. I have wanted to try this for a few years and just never got around to it. Chris had worked the night shift so getting my noisy girl out of the house made for the perfect morning excursion. We hopped in the car and drove half mile down the road to our favorite spot…Tyler State Park. Karly pooped out from time to time, but got the paddling figured out pretty good! We loved it!!! It was quite the work out and so quiet and peaceful gliding along the lake. Can’t wait to do it again!

Definitely not me at my prettiest!

Cheese!

all pooped out...taking a little rest

got the paddling down! left~right~left~right

Blogging Blahs

Hope everyone is doing great! We are all doing well here, just the typical day in and day out stuff!

I just can't seem to get into a steady flow of posting these! It drives me crazy because I feel like I have so much to say and so many pictures to share and just don't make the time to do it! It doesn't help that my home computer is old and slow!! I have a few different sets of pics and promise to get them up over the next few days!

Karly is a 4th grader!

It is so hard for me to believe I have a FOURTH GRADER!!! Where does the time go? This year she asked me not to bring her to school!! I can't believe how fast she is growing up! What a beautiful little lady!
