Day 2 of 21...clean off your desktop

If you haven't checked out A Bowl Full of Lemons 21 day challenge to a cleaner more organized how go do so!  I didn't do Day 1 because well...I forgot :) it was to clean out your junk drawer.  Believe it or not I don't have a junk drawer!  I have junk everywhere, but not a drawer just dedicated to it.  My kitchen drawers really need some organizing so perhaps I'll tackle them?  Or maybe I'll just stick to the challenge and hope kitchen drawers are on the list!

Today's challenge:  Clean off your desktop.  I actually did mine a few weeks back so it wasn't TOO bad, sure it's probably bad to clean people but to a slob like me it's actually fairly decent.  I cleaned it all off in just a few minutes (why again didn't I just do it weeks ago or keep up with it?), sprayed it all down to get the dust and germs and it looks fab!  I even got out the special monitor cleaner and since it was out I did the laptop and tv...shiny, shiny screens for everyone!  The funny thing is it looks and smells so good I want to do something else!   I promised to keep these blog posts 5-10 minutes so that it doesn't take me longer to blog it than the actual project so here are my pics!

BEFORE
I will admit that the Dr. Pepper can has been there for at least 2 weeks.  Seriously, what is wrong with me?  I saw it every time I walked by or looked in that area.  If I would have just picked it up took 45 seconds it would have been gone but nope... I stared at it for weeks!  Those dead flowers were from my anniversary...a month ago :)

AFTER

MUCH BETTER :)

Now, when is the challenge for this...
or this....
this is my living room...I can pick it up every day and it looks like this an hour or 2 later...must be on top of this at all times!
go HERE to link up your project and check out everyone else's!

Ugh... You should see MY living room!
I love the blinding shine coming from your monitor!!
I really love clean things, I just don't love the cleaning part. Does that make me a bad person?

It looks great! I have two year old twins, and they can destroy a room in about 2 minutes.

What a fabulous/motivating idea! I LOVE how you are honest about how your house looks..its very normal/awesome of you! Most bloggers will only show pics of their house in PERFECT condition to make everyone think thats how it is all the time! Good for you! My house looks very 'lived in' most of the time ;0)

So funny. After cleaning my area today I flipped out on the kids and made them clean the basement. My husband got home and without saying a word saw the look on my face and started picking up too!

Haven't checked the challenge out but love the idea!. I like to refer to my house as being "lived"in. My kids are older but they are still of the age of just leaving their stuff EVERYWHERE. My rule is if friends don't call before coming over, I make no promises at what condition the house will be in. It will be full of love, good food and wine, but it may not be very clean.

I love the picture's of your house just this morning I was sitting in my living room disgusted that I must act like a human vauum following the kids to keep it some what picked up....so nice to know I am not a lone! I swear my living room looks just like that! I wanted to give up till I saw this....you may have saved my sanity with your honesty ;) good luck with the challenge I hope to be inspired!
