Sawyer's first birthday has come and gone...and surprisingly I did much better than I thought I would. I had a mini huge meltdown the night before that included sobbing in bed for at least an hour snotting on a towel. Lovely visual I know. The day of his birthday we just hung out and had cake at the house. I have never claimed to be a great cake baker, but usually they taste great and are fairly cute. This one was a disaster! I felt so bad that Sawyer's very first birthday cake turned out so hideous! It was super moist but literally fell apart! O'well, it tasted great and he pretty much threw his on the floor. We are having his party the 19th due to Chris's work schedule so hopefully that cake will turn out better!
