Our little peach

13 weeks! Seriously? This is flying by! I hate how time goes faster and faster every year. Makes me so sad.

Here is what Baby O is up to this week.

Week Thirteen: Baby flexes and kicks

• The fetus has grown to about 3 inches (8cm) long.
• Weight approximately 1 ounce (25 grams).
• Bone is beginning to replace cartilage and the ribs are appearing.
• The nose and chin are well defined.
• Movements can be measured.
• The child will begin to learn to suck its thumb.
• The child can open and close its mouth.
• The external genitalia are well defined making it is possible to determine the baby's gender.

Your baby is now producing insulin the hormone that controls their blood glucose. The fetus is now 3 inches long and weighs about an ounce. The baby's unique fingerprints are already in place. The muscles lengthen and become organized. You can't feel it yet, but your baby can move in a jerky fashion, flexing the arms and kicking the legs.

Your uterus has grown quite a bit. You can probably feel its upper edge above the pubic bone in the lowest part of your abdomen, about 4 inches (10cm) below your bellybutton. At 13 weeks, your uterus fills your pelvis and starts growing upward into your abdomen. It feels like a soft, smooth ball. Soon you will start feeling the first flutters of the unborn child kicking and moving within.

Wanna Make it Wednesday 05/12

Welcome Back to Wanna Make it Wednesday! Our electronic want to do list.

I am going to continue to put up a MckLinky and as recommended need to get a button together! I hope you will continue to link up!

Up first this week and just in time for SJ's birthday (sniff, sniff)! I still can't believe my baby is almost 1; breaks my heart.

Maybe if I immerse myself in bright, fun, happy colors I won't be sad about it? Probably not but I think I still NEED one of these! Head over to How Does She Do It for the tutorial. Oh and I love that black door! I NEED one of those too!

Second up and last this week...can you believe I only have 2?!?! Weird I know

Who doesn't need an oversized beach bag? Especially when you can make it for dirt cheap! I may have to have one of these before our Gulf Shores trip! You can get the tutorial at DESIgns.

Sooo, what do you wanna make??

Not Me Monday 05/10

Welcome to Not Me! Monday! This blog carnival was created by MckMama. You can head over to her blog to read what she and everyone else have not been doing this week.

Onto the good stuff...

My son has not made a habit of crawling from the couch to the side table where he gets stuck pretty much every time. I did not let him cry while I grabbed my camera to snap a picture of this. (no babies were harmed in the making of this post. I did take him off the table only for him to crawl right back over)

Sawyer has also not found his new favorite toy....the toilet! Apparently toilets are just as amazing as bath tubs and pools. I chose to snag him from the toilet immediately as opposed to grabbing the camera first!

Almost every day I do not run out the door for school run not wearing a bra. I mean seriously?

How long does it take to put one on? I don't worry the entire drive if I get pulled over or have to get out of the car. This does not lead to not wearing a bra for the majority of the day. I mean if my boobs looked like this it would be just fine!

unfortunately they resemble this :(

I do not have flowers and sprouted seedlings waiting to be transplanted to their permanent homes. I definitely haven't been procrastinating these for over a week! That's just ridiculous.

I was not the designated driver for a wedding Saturday night (remember I am pregalicious). If I were the dd and sober (truly was) I would for sure be able to drive better than the drunk people! Driving my husband's truck...which I don't do very often, being tired and slightly dehydrated wouldn't make me such a bad driver that we had to get a hotel so Chris could drive us home the next day. O'well, better safe than sorry!

Now, what haven't you been up to???

Baby O is 12 weeks

12 weeks! Here is a little insight to what he/she is doing in there!

• The feet are almost half an inch (1cm) long.
• The fetus starts moving spontaneously.
• The face is beginning to look like a baby's face.
• The pancreas is functioning and producing insulin.
• Fingernails and toenails appear.
• The baby can suck his thumb, and get hiccups.

From this week you may well be able to hear the baby's heart beat through a doppler monitor on your tummy. You will notice that the rate is up to 160 a minute, double that of a normal adult.

Your baby now has a chin and a nose and a facial profile. Vocal chords are complete, and the baby can and does sometimes cry silently. The brain is fully formed, and the baby can also feel pain. The fetus may even suck his thumb. The eyelids now cover the eyes, and will remain shut until the seventh month to protect the delicate optical nerve fibers. The hair is on the head and the fingers and toes have developed soft nails. The kidneys are developed and begin to secrete urine.

Wanna Make it Wednesday 05/05

Happy Cinco de Mayo!!

I have meant to post this project for quite some time but for some reason I couldn't "borrow" the pictures from her blog. (yes, I did email for permission first) I decided it was good enough to hunt down again and retry and TADA! it worked! This is a great Wanna Make It for my crochet folks!

Mary Jane slippers! These are quick to whip up and did I mention FREE?? We love free! Go check out Good Knits for the patterns I did find them a little small for me following her directions. I will add another 2 rows or so for my size 6.5-7 foot next time I make them.   Just a heads up for ya!

She also has a toddler version that is adorable!!

Next up and perfect dinner tonight....Fish Tacos! These look absolutely drool on myself delicious! I wonder if I could get the family to eat them???? Get the recipe at Our Best Bites. If you aren't following their blog...do it. They make some tasty stuff!

Now let's try to get this theme a link up!  Go back to your blog, make your Wanna Make it (even if it only has 1 project) come back here and link up to share with all of us.  It's great for sharing good projects and helps keep an actual list of sorts of things you want to make!  I always come back to mine :)
