Blogging Blahs

Hope everyone is doing great! We are all doing well here, just the typical day in and day out stuff!

I just can't seem to get into a steady flow of posting these! It drives me crazy because I feel like I have so much to say and so many pictures to share and just don't make the time to do it! It doesn't help that my home computer is old and slow!! I have a few different sets of pics and promise to get them up over the next few days!

Karly is a 4th grader!

It is so hard for me to believe I have a FOURTH GRADER!!! Where does the time go? This year she asked me not to bring her to school!! I can't believe how fast she is growing up! What a beautiful little lady!

Momma's Visit

So.., I know this is a little late, but I wanted to share some pictures!

Mom got to meet some of my new Texas family. The ladies first night back we had meet the teacher night. She definitely got a taste of Texas there! Went home and made Karly’s requested dinner, chicken, shells and cheese, and corn on the cob…she likes yellow food :) Aunt Gay and Danny came over…sorry no pictures.

The next night we went to dinner and Tammy and Jason and Tony, Shauna and their family all met us. Food wasn’t fabulous but it was nice for my mom to finally be able to put a face to the stories.

We didn't do much while she was here....had dinner with the family, mostly sat around and visited...took her to State Park, but her AZ blood couldn't handle the humidity so we cut it short!

My baby is home!

August 21 my mom and Karly flew into Tyler! My mom escorted Karly home and had a nice little visit. I was so excited to have them back! Two months to the day without my little munchkin is a very long time! Not to mention 8 months without seeing my momma! I didn't realize how much I saw her and depended on her until I didn't have her. I have missed her so immensely these past months...I hope someday we will be able to make consistent visits.

Hiking with Shane

After work yesterday I decided to skip my usual walk and head for Tyler State Park (one of my favorite places) for an evening hike. Our puppies are terrible on leashes so I also thought it would be a good chance to get some practice! Knowing that they are very strong and not very well behaved I decided to just take one of them (very brilliant idea). Shane was the lucky winner! He was awful for the first 10 minutes, but slowly caught on. I am going to try to bring him 3 times a week and hope he continues to get better. We did a good walk and man was it hot and humid! Both of our tongues were hanging out!

We walked about half way around the lake and I let him swim! He was too cute fetching the stick out of the water! What a good exercise pal!

Karly & the Tooth Fairy

Karly lost another tooth! She sent me these pics yesterday from her phone! Good kid keeping her mom in the loop! I guess she was the last kid on the nightly rounds...looks like the tooth fairy was out of dollar bills and had to dig in her purse for some change :)

Missing my baby!

Karly officially has a flight home! Hallelujah! It is a little easier knowing that in exactly 2 weeks I can give her a big fat kiss! I have missed my little munchkin!
